Sprat, featuring Priya Carlberg, Nora Stanley, and Travis Bliss, explores the intimate dialogue between wind instruments and the human voice. Each member brings an individual compositional approach to the group which flows freely between improvisation and song. Weaving together saxophones, clarinets, synth, and voice they craft a tapestry of acoustic blending and rich textures. Centered around the fundamental nature of breath as a marker of time, Sprat’s music unfolds into a patient, dynamic, and lush musical landscape.
